LCBH Impact Grant Funds New Program for Turning Point

Larimer County Behavioral Health Impact Grant announced grant recipients in early September, and Turning Point is proud to be a recipient. The grant funding supports Turning Point’s Addictions Services Program and a new Renew & Restore Program.

Turning Point applied for two programs within the funding category of 'Alternatives & Interventions in Criminal Justice.' One program is a continuation of an existing program, as we are working to further expand the Addiction Services in Larimer County, including better telehealth options for reaching rural communities and detained youth and young adults. The other new program is in partnership with Larimer County Community Corrections. The 'Renew & Restore Program' is a two-phase program designed to meet the support and skill development needs of women participating in two of Larimer County Comunity Corrections's residential programs for women. The program sets clients up for success and ongoing support as they return to roles as caregivers, providers, and community members. Both programs are helping to decrease barriers in accessing behavioral health treatment and vital support services for residents of Larimer County who are involved in the justice system.

“We are grateful for the ongoing support of the Larimer County Behavioral Health Impact grant, and are excited to partner with Larimer County Community Corrections in creating a new program for women,” shares Wendy Lee, Executive Director of Turning Point.

For 57 years, Turning Point has been serving families, children, and adults with untreated mental health, behavioral health, and substance use issues that interfere with their ability to lead healthy and productive lives. Today, Turning Point offers a continuum of care outpatient services, meeting clients where they need us most, whether in the community, at one of our outpatient facilities in Fort Collins and Greeley, in school, or in the home. Turning Point’s mission is fostering meaningful connections, growth, and wellness through personalized services for individuals, families, and communities impacted by trauma, mental health, and substance use challenges.

Turning Point’s services include Individual & Family therapy, Behavior Coaching, Adolescent Intensive Outpatient Program, a DUI/DWAI court-ordered curriculum, Substance Use & Mental Health evaluations, and grant-funded prevention services through our Connections Program. We accept Medicaid insurance and other major insurance plans and offer a sliding fee scale for the uninsured or underinsured. For families involved in Child Welfare, we contract with the Department of Human Services to provide programming designed to help reunite and stabilize families.
