In-Home Services

Turning Point offers in-home programs for at-risk youth through partnerships with the Larimer and Weld County Departments of Human Services and with the Division of Youth Services. Youth whose behaviors, circumstances, and choices have led them down a path of involvement with the legal system or child welfare system as well as their families are eligible to receive additional services through Turning Point upon the recommendation of their treatment teams.

In-Home Programs for At-Risk Youth

The following programs are available to families involved with DHS or DYS. Some services are also available to families through the Child and Youth Mental Health Treatment Act (CYMHTA). There are also private pay options for services not covered by insurance. Please contact us for costs and details.

Substance Use Avoidance In-Home Program

This program involves 4-5 months of intensive programming with 2-6 hours of services per week for in-home, on-call services; case consultation; therapy; and behavior coaching. It serves families struggling with substance use concerns.

Family Care Coordination (FCC)

We work closely with both the family and other systems to empower parents to maintain youth safely and consistently in the home and community by providing 1-5 hours per week of thorough assessments and behavior management support.

Family Visitation Services

We help supervise family visits and provide parent coaching to families involved in DHS as they work to reunite parents with their children.

Behavior Coaching Services

We offer one-on-one behavior and life skills coaching for youth or parents.

Connections Services

This program, funded through Larimer County Behavioral Health, allows us to provide free in-school drug and alcohol education and crisis intervention services. It also includes bilingual case management services. When this program is grant funded, we are able to provide these services to the community free of charge.

Home Preservation Program

This program was created to serve DHS referrals for youth ages 13-18 who are at risk for out-of-home placement. The program provides 7 hours a week of intensive in-home therapy and case management services over 4-6 months with the goal of stabilizing the family and keeping the youth in the home.

If your child or one you know is involved with DHS or DYS and could benefit from one of these programs, please contact us or complete our referral form.
