Community Centered Services provide both In-Home and Out-Patient individual and family therapy & counseling with skilled therapists. Schedules are based on levels of need.

Once your child's needs are addressed and it has been decided that Turning Point will provide his or her care, an individualized treatment plan will be drawn up by our therapists in concert with your family to get your child back on the right track.

 

 

If your child or client is in need of intensive 24-hour care, 7 days a week in a home-like environment, you may be interested in our Intensive Residential Treatment Services.

 

Our programs serve male and female youth ages 12-21. Our programs are gender specific and are hosted in separate facilities.

 

Turning Point offers an unmatched continuum of care for high risk youth.

We will ensure your client's success upon completion of our top-notch,

CARF accredited Intensive Residential Treatment Program.

 

Criteria for placement are defined as follows:

  1. Willingness/motivation to participate in the program.
  2. Normal range of cognitive functioning.
  3. Diagnosis capable of treatment within our program.
  4. Needs cannot be met in a less restrictive environment due to emotional, family, behavioral, mental health, gang, legal and substance abuse difficulties.
  5. Family is willing to participate in treatment.

 

Reasons for denial of admission include:

  1. History of extreme violence, aggression, assaultive behavior.
  2. Significant history of suicidal attempts/gestures.
  3. Clients refusing medications deemed clinically necessary.
  4. Diagnosis unable to treat within our program.
  5. History of sexual perpetration.

Turning Point's academic programs are fully approved by the Colorado Department of Education.

Our programs are developed to accommodate students with varying needs learning at a wide range of educational levels. We offer each of our students a structured, supportive and individualized educational setting. Turning Point's educational programs utililze Positive Behavior Support best practices.

Each youth in the educational program has the option of earning their GED, graduating from Turning Point's Waverly School or transferring credits back to their home school.

 

Turning Point's Adolescent Day Treatment programs in Larimer, Weld and Garfield counties are designed to provide therapeutic support to clients and their families in the least restrictive and most appropriate setting to assist in improving outcomes.

 

If your children is struggling in school and at home, but doesn't need intensive residential treatment, day treatment may be the right choice for your family.
