Turning Point offers referral, assessment, counseling, and treatment to children ages 4-23 and their families who are IN CRISIS due to behavioral health and/or substance abuse issues.

This program reaches out to youth who so often fall under the radar. Children who are uninsured, children living under the poverty level, children who are at severe risk of developing life-long problems.

The most important part of this program is outreach and marketing. We need to let qualified families and kids know that these services are available to them at no cost.

While much of this program is financed through private grants and the local United Way, there are many more children who need our help, the wait list is growing and we cannot help them until we have the funds available. Program dollars support transportation, staff salaries, treatment and referral services.

This program serves children under 23 and their families, children in crisis, struggling with behavioral health and/or substance abuse issues, children who are uninsured and children & families who are otherwise unable to afford these services

The program provides assessment services to determine needs, referrals to services that most closely meet children’s needs, individualized treatment plans, In-home therapies and treatment, case planning, behavioral health & substance abuse treatment through individual, group and family therapies.

We like this project because it gives access to vital services to the children and families who, in the majority of cases, need it most. Children and families who so often feel like they’ve been forgotten, left behind, even hidden from the community.

Crisis Intervention Services give children and their families a chance, it gives them hope, it gives them the help they truly need to make the most out of their lives and their circumstance.
