December's Peek At The Point

Hello Turning Point's supporters and friends!

Happy Holidays! We hope everyone is having a safe and warm holiday season.

2023 was a big year of growth and change at Turning Point and there is much to feel thankful for as this year comes to an end. Read on to hear the latest.

Turning Point Team Updates

Welcome aboard new staff!

In November and December, we welcomed aboard a few new staff members and providers!

Michael Bennett: Michael is our new Fractional CFO  working with us on a part-time basis, acting as the Chief Financial Officer. He has been in finance for over 20 years and is helping start a space company in Denver. We are grateful for his expertese and guidance in an important part of Turning Point's operations.

Tyler Fontenot: Tyler joined the team as our Human Resource/ Administrative Assistant. He is currently completing his MBA and brings a wealth of knowledge about everything Human Resources related. He is a huge fan of nautical jokes, so make sure to give him a hearty sea-caption welcome when you see him at our front desk.

Jenni Zarate-Barron: Jenni was hired as a new behavior coach and a bi-lingual staff member. We are excited to have her join our coaching team, her assistance in working with Spanish-speaking families helps decrease barriers in accessing to care.

Nick Boeder: Nick is our newest clinician to join the outpatient team. He is an LCSW and has been working in the field for over 20 years. We are really excited to have a licensed clinician with a ton of experience to help grow our services.

Enjoy Retirement Mark Trumble!

Our beloved IT guy/jack-of-all-trades, Mark Trumble, decided it was finally time to retire. After 10 years of service to Turning Point, Mark stepped down from his role as System Administrator. We are fortunate to still have him very part time on the IT side of things, but he is kicking off 2024 as a retired man. Mark, his wife, and their show dogs can be found traveling around the US in their camper, attending various dog shows and enjoying the countryside. Mark's smile will be missed around the office, but we know there will be future gatherings at Starbucks to catch up on latest news. Happy Trails, Mark!

Meet the Team

Join us in welcoming our newest Board Member, Talia Sternberg!

Talia Sternberg, president of Dutch Bros Northern Colorado, joined Turning Point's Board of Directors in December, 2023.

"Thanks a bunch for the welcome! Super stoked about joining the board. After being approached to jump on board, I was genuinely honored. I had the privilege to meet some awesome members and sit in on a board meeting, and it just clicked for me. My knack for seeing the bigger picture goals, looking out for the greater good, all while steering a healthy business toward its highest potential—that's what got me hooked! Can't wait to bring that energy to Turning Point's Board of Directors!"

December staff meeting and holiday celebration

At our December Staff meeting, we had the team from Co-Cares join us, offering support in creating better staff wellness and retention initiatives. We are excited for future conversations and trainings, supporting wellness in the workplace. Thank you for the support Chad and Cindy from Co-Cares! We are grateful Turning Point was selected for this program.

Then, we had a White Elephant gift exchange full of laughter, and a cookie exchange that will take care of the sweet tooth for days to come. Such a perfect finish to a big year of growth and development at Turning Point.

We hope everyone is safe and well this holiday season! If not, please reach out, we have an awesome team of therapists and coaches who are happy to help.

Notice: This will be the last newsletter sent through the current email conveyer system! We loved Bloomerang, but are shifting to a website-based system that is better on the budget. Expect newsletters to look differently moving forward, but the monthly updates will continue. We are hoping for a seemless transition in January.
